Reverse resynchronizing mirror relationships
You can reestablish a mirror relationship that was previously broken. In a reverse resynchronization operation, you reverse the functions of the source and destination.
Before you begin 
The source volume must be online before a reverse resynchronization can be performed.
About this task 
•
You can perform a reverse resynchronization, for example, when the source volume in a mirror relationship is offline, you can use the destination volume to server data while you repair or replace the source, update the source, and reestablish the original configuration of the systems.
•
When you perform reverse resynchronization, the contents on the mirror source are overwritten by the contents on the destination.
This operation can cause data loss on the source.
•
When you perform reverse resynchronization, the mirror policy of the relationship is set to DPDefault and the mirror schedule is set to None.
•
For Infinite Volumes with storage classes, if new constituents have been added to the source Infinite Volume since the mirror relationship was created, you cannot use System Manager to reverse resynchronize the mirror relationship.
Instead, you should use OnCommand Workflow Automation.
Steps 
1.
From the home page, double-click the appropriate storage system.
2.
Expand the Storage Virtual Machines hierarchy in the left navigation pane.
3.
Select the Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) that contains the destination volume and click Protection.
4.
Select the mirror relationship that you want to reverse.
5.
Click Operations > Reverse Resync.
If System Manager is unable to retrieve the cached credentials of the source cluster, you are prompted to enter the credentials.
6.
Select the confirmation check box and click Reverse Resync.
7.
If you are reverse resynchronizing a mirror relationship between Infinite Volumes, click Run in Background to run the operation in the background.
